Exemplary Projects

Exemplary Projects, also called Motivating Scientific Use Cases (MSUCs), demonstrate the type of scientific research being supported by the CBMI. Such projects provide “test case” opportunities to deploy CBMI-initiated methodology, focus limited resources, evaluate human/computer interaction (HCI), benchmark success, and solve real-world problems: As a result, these, and other crucial issues can be addressed by such projects before exporting generalized solutions to the larger scientific community.

The following five projects exemplify this category of projects and convey a sense of our excitement and pride in providing BMI support to such worthwhile clinical research activities:

● Assisted Exercise in Premature Babies

● Acute Imaging in Stroke

● Function Biomedical Informatics Research Network (FBIRN)

● Human Performance Physiome National Network (HP2N2)

● Digital Donor Library (DDL)
