ICTS Home Welcome to the ICTS News & Events For the Investigator For the Community Training & Education

UC Irvine’s ICTS Community Education Unit (CEU) is designed to develop and cultivate community relationships throughout the whole gamut of the clinical translational research process. The objective is to create positive and mutually supportive relationships with patients and research participants, working partnerships with community providers, and public trust in UC Irvine clinicians, scientific research, and the NIH. CEU involves the community in setting research priorities at all phases including conception, design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, conclusions, and communication of results in a way that will improve the health care in our region. CEU develop innovative ways to engage community members in the mentoring process. And create partnerships in clinical and translational research and collaborations that enhance research perspective, public trust, and recruitment for translational research.
